“You have to have an audience if you want to make a statement. You can be the best writer, but if no one has read your work,
where does it go? In any line of work, there has to be exposure. I just want people to live their own lives based off of their own
thoughts and desires, not out of fear, or any of those reasons that are maybe why we left where we came from.
I want to break walls between sexuality, gender, religion, race—all of the different barriers and dividers in humanity—
have it be based off of what you do as a person, as opposed to your profile. I think there’s definitely a divider in society
between how we ultimately feel inside as opposed to what we’re told to feel, and the fear that comes along with it.
That scares me, how people are so afraid to follow their own instincts. You only have one fucking life—why are you going to sacrifice that?
What are you going to do when it’s all over? You can’t just look back and go, Oh, I’ll go edit this in Photoshop. We don’t have Lifeshop.”

Bastards Of Young
These are outtakes from a magazine I shot entitled Bastards of Young comprised of 46 pages of images
inspired by beautiful scummy kids, decaying Americana, overcast weather and old Replacements tunes.
Bastards of Young can be seen in it’s entirety for free or purchased in a high quality bound book Here.
Women & Their Relationship to Loud Noises #2
This is a project that I have been doing for a few weeks where I took a photo of a subject at the moment that a hidden helper jumped out and blew an air horn to get their reaction. Thank you Risa, Sam, Katie and Trevor for helping me out with spooking people. (and everyone else who stood quietly behind the backdrop to see what happened.)
